I’ve been devoted to dogs my whole life. As a child I attended dog shows with a family member who showed in the working dog group and frequently watched dog shows on TV as a kid - dreaming of having my very own red merle Aussie. My first dogs were shepherd crosses and a border collie cross. That border collie mix got me hooked on trick training at 9 years old. My love for aussies did not go away but I was really hoping for something in a lighter package. Fourteen years ago, I discovered the Miniature American Shepherd and became passionate about contributing to the growth of this emerging breed. Today,  I’m proud to raise well-bred, well-socialized Miniature American Shepherds who bring joy and companionship to their new families. Each Cedar Moon Mini is raised in my home, with Puppy Culture, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), socialization and cooperative handling training woven into their daily lives. I belong to both the national breed club MASCUSA and our regional club MASCMA.

I attended Rutgers University’s Animal Science program, where I initially set out to complete the prerequisite courses for veterinary school. However, I soon discovered the profound impact I could have by focusing on training and behavior. After 10 years as a veterinary technician in both general practice and veterinary behavior, I have made the shift to training full-time. I am a graduate of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, am an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, a Certified Family Dog Mediator, a Fear Free Certified Trainer, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.  I specialize in positive reinforcement training, with a special love for working with puppies and families with children. I help families build strong, lasting bonds with their dogs through trust and communication. This isn’t just my work—it’s a way of life.
